Today's music SUCKS
It is safe to say that 85% of today's music is absolute garbage. There are still many people that dedicate their lives to Classical music, perhaps by playing in an orchestra, and continuously studying the works of Chopin, Bach and Schubert, but they are few and far between.
What does America's youth listen to? The same four chord progressions with regurgitated 4/4 drum beats and lyrics only a retard could come up with.
What ever happened to genius instrumentals and technical excellence? I will tell you... It ended when mainstream music became a goddamn marketing ploy to make the record companies rich, and the artist poor.
That's the reason you have garbage such as My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park and Green Day clogging up the radios. They sell records. That doesn't mean they are any good though.
Now I will tell you off the bat, that my favorite band is Dream Theater. They are a progressive metal band from New York. They are known all over the world for their talent and beautiful arrangements... but you will not hear them on the local rock station.. at least not during peak hours! DT is just the first name I came up with.. what about Symphony X, Planet X, and (old) Metallica? This music has so much energy and soul, it is embarassing what these giant record companies are producing today.
MUSIC SHOULD BE ABOUT CREATIVE CONTROL!
I don't care who you are and what you play, but I guarantee it is better than the drivel in the mainstream. Don't get me started on 50 Cent or whatever urban garbage is ruining the black culture. Don't get me started on those pussy emo bands that whine about highschool breakups in their 30s. I wish Dimebag would rise and scare some sense into these peasants.
